Golf

Merano’s two golf facilities both offer unique settings: here, sports and recreation transform into full immersion in nature.

Top-Class Golfing

The nine-hole Lana–Brandis Golf Club (par 35; 2,793 metres) is nestled amidst vineyards and apple orchards and located just ten minutes by car south of Merano. The course is open twelve months a year. The hillside grade is moderate so a game here is comfortable for players of all ages. (Tel. 0473 569 646).

In the opposite direction and requiring a little more travel, is Val Passiria Golf Club(18 holes, par 71; 5,755 metres). Here, ponds and bunkers blend harmoniously into the landscape: the stunning landscape of the valley and the surrounding high mountains add a lot of scenic value, as does the Passer River, which runs through the course. The facility is open from March to November (Tel. 0473 641488).

Miniature Golf, Big Fun

At Marconi Park in the city centre, an 18-hold mini-golf course provides fun for the whole family – with the added challenge of requiring precision and skill. The facility opens in the spring and closes at the end of October; you can play all day. Other options include ping-pong and foosball.
