Special exhibition in Merano Arte

The city of Merano experienced an unbelievable and surprising cultural and artistic boom after the Second World War. Merano Arte follows this development in a large-scale project, with an exhibition and a publication to come in autumn 2012. Despite the tensions between the different language groups at the time, many artists were able to create works at an international level and network beyond national borders. The plastic arts form the centre of the exhibition, but links to other arts such as music, literature and film as well as to the social and economic environment are also shown. The curators are Prof. Markus Neuwirth and Dr. Tiziano Rosani.
